Carmen Tassel Earrings - Noir

Carmen Tassel Earrings - Noir

These 1940s inspired, fun & festive earrings, are reminiscent of Brazilian bombshell Carmen Miranda, and the tassel twirling, shimmying, showgirls of the Golden Age. Made with elements seen in elaborate stage costumes of Old Hollywood, these beauties sparkle with stones, and pop with cuban colors, or go bold in burlesque black.

Color: Gold plated with clear rhinestones. Black tassels or multi available.
Measurements: 4"

Tassels date back ages ago, from Egyptian headdresses, to King Louis XIV, and his French Royal Court, and were always used as a symbol of either status, luxury, or luck. Tassels adorned the costumes of European royalty and their residences, as well as the nipple pasties and costumes of Burlesque performers and Showgirls of the 1920s-1960s. A major star of the 1940s, Carmen Miranda was known as the Brazillian bombshell, with her trademark Latin style ensembles, dripping with colors and crystals.
